My Story

Before I found photography I always thought I would be a teacher or a writer. My family was full of creative types-painters, writers, teachers, free thinkers. For the longest time I searched for MY place in the world of artistic expression. When I was sixteen I found it, I bought my first SLR camera and took it with me every where I went. I pursued my love for photography in the fine art field during college because it was my passion. I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors in Fine Art Photography, but  it wasn't until something life changing happened to me that I knew what I wanted to do with this medium of art.

My son Cameron was born. The next chapter of my life began and life as I knew would never be the same.  Then it just clicked; this is who I am, this is where I am supposed to be, this is what I am supposed to do. I started documenting my new life and my eyes opened wide. I became so sensitive to the beautiful, delicate, fleeting moments. I found myself as an artist and a photographer. I had a new understanding of my story.  I knew I had to start telling other peoples stories.

Before every wedding I get that giddy nervousness that rushes over me. I am invited to capture a very personal, beautiful, emotional time in your life. Then as fast as it came on, it is gone. The second I take the first picture I know I am there to tell the story that is laid out before me, YOUR STORY. If you appreciate art, life, and especially LOVE then I am the photographer for you. You've heard my story, I look forward to hearing yours.
